About This Station

The station is powered by a -Davis Vantage Pro Plus- weather station. Current data is updated every 10 seconds. The station is comprised of an wind speed/direction sensor, situated 22 feet above the ground (about 4 feet above the roof top), Base Station, rain gauge, snow melt heater for rain equivalent, fan-aspirated radiation shield for thermo-hydro sensors, plus solar and UV sensors situated 11 feet above the ground, above the microclimate of the fence.

A Meteo-Pi Ethernet Logger connected to a Davis Vantage Vue console collects real-time data, which is uploaded to Weather Display Software.
